The Richmond REIA and Investor Group invites you to join us at our monthly MeetUp and DEAL MAKER Session.

Bill and Kim Cook are a husband and wife real estate investing team. They live in Adairsville, Georgia and have been investing in real estate since 1995.  Their investment portfolio includes single-family homes, mobile homes, a small mobile home park, notes, and options.

When it comes to creative deal structuring and funding, they’re among the best, most experienced investors in the country.  They’re also skilled landlords whose unique management style has helped many property owners better pick and manage their properties and tenants.

They also occasionally flip properties they buy from homeowners, banks and at foreclosure auctions – but because of the enormous tax hit, avoid flipping when doing another, safer deal structure makes makes more financial sense.

Since 1997, Bill and Kim have taught folks how to successfully invest in real estate. They founded North Georgia REIA (Real Estate Investors Association) in 2002, and after 14 years, closed it at the end of 2015.

Bill began writing a weekly real estate investing newspaper column in 2003.  His column was published in a number of Georgia newspapers.  Bill’s final column was published on December 27, 2015.

In 2016, to be better teachers, Bill and Kim altered how they teach.

First, Bill will continue offering his hands-on door-knocking course.  This is where you go out with Bill and knock on sellers’ doors.  Getting face-to-face with sellers, asking Pete Fortunato’s famous question: “Why are you selling such a nice house like this?”, and making written offers, is the alpha and omega of real estate investing.  And since Bill has been knocking on homeowners’ doors since 1972, he’s one of the most experienced investors in the country when it comes to sitting at a seller’s kitchen table and creatively negotiating a win-win deal.

Second, Bill and Kim will teach one and two-day seminars on topics such as: 1) How to Get Started; 2) How to Buy Foreclosures and Pre-foreclosures; 3) How to do Subject-to Deals; 4) How to Manager Tenants and Rental Property; 5) How to Creatively Structure and Fund a Deal; 6) How to Fight Your Property Taxes and Win; 7) How to Use a Financial Calculator.

Third, instead of a weekly newspaper column, Bill will write a monthly blog for their website.  This will allow Bill to not be limited by a fixed number of words in an article, nor an editor saying what can and can’t be said.  Plus, with a blog, video and audio can be inserted to better help get a point across.

Bill and Kim are life-long real estate investors and will be to their dying day!
